Just in time for the 2020 NAMM show, Audio-Technica is announcing a new ATW-3211N network-enabled receiver for its 4th-generation 3000 Series wireless systems. The receiver features an Ethernet port, allowing users to configure, monitor, and control the system’s components remotely from a computer running Audio-Technica’s Wireless Manager software (WMS).
The software allows users to exempt certain TV or IEM bands from the initial frequency scan, tailoring the scan to avoid known areas of interference. Once it has identified the cleanest channels, WMS takes into account intermodulation issues, builds a frequency plan for you, and deploys those frequencies to the networked receivers—saving you a lot of setup time and headaches.
During the performance, you can use the monitor page to stay one step ahead of potential problems by keeping an eye on RF, AF, and the remaining battery life of the transmitters. The Wireless Manager software is available free, at Audio-Technica.com. To accommodate the Ethernet port on the receiver, Audio-Technica has removed the unbalanced ¼" output from back panel, but the balanced XLR output remains.
