Lenovo Shows Off ThinkPad X1 Fold with Folding OLED Screen

Short Description:
Folding and flexible displays are now a reality. First it was phones and, now, the tech is coming to computers. Lenovo showed off an early version of a foldable PC last year, and currently the company has a product scheduled to launch later this year: the ThinkPad X1 Fold. We saw it and we like it. As someone who has a tablet and laptop, and sometimes is forced to choose between one or the other, the idea of one device that does it all is very appealing.

The computer part of this device is a 13.3" tablet with the folding OLED panel and a resolution of 2048 x 1536. It comes with a compact keyboard that can be used in multiple configurations. It runs Windows 10 Pro and, with the display completely unfolded, you can create a 13.3" laptop. A built-in kickstand makes it easy to set up on a table to work. One handy thing about the keyboard is that it tucks away smartly in the screen when you fold it over for travel, and it’ll charge wirelessly while in there.
Remove the keyboard and you have an ample tablet, and it can be folded over to function as a much more compact laptop. The bottom screen can be configured in Windows to show a separate screen or app, or pull up an on-screen keyboard. You can also use the included Bluetooth Mini Fold Keyboard and have a laptop that is half the size. Finally, you can remove the keyboard, completely unfold the device, and then you have a regular tablet with which to work.
