Product Description

Starting 2020 off with big news at CES, AMD announced the Radeon RX 5600 XT , the not-so-secret Ryzen Threadripper 3990X, its renewed focus on portables, and much more.
Designed for 1080p gaming, the AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT is a notch above the RX 5500 XT, offering maxed-out graphics performance and high frame rates for AAA and eSports titles. The AMD RX 5600 XT is expected to be available from partners such as ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, and more starting January 21. Gamers playing at 1440p still have their choice of a RX 5700 or RX 5700 XT. Furthermore, RX 5600M and RX 5700M models will be making their way into gaming laptops in the first quarter.

Alongside showcasing hardware, AMD emphasized the importance of coordinating software, with advanced features such as Radeon Boost, Radeon Anti-Lag, Radeon Image Sharpening (RIS), and AMD FidelityFX. On the adaptive sync side of things, FreeSync is growing and now split into three tiers for easier identification: FreeSync, FreeSync Premium, and FreeSync Premium Pro. Building on regular FreeSync, Premium is tailored for more serious gamers, requiring a minimum 120Hz refresh rate at FHD resolution and support for low frame rate compensation (LFC) technology. The Premium Pro tier includes all that, and support for HDR content.
