Heading into CES 2020, tech forecasters boldly predicted this year's show would focus heavily on a few specific trends: 8K televisions, 5G networking, virtual reality, etc. Surprisingly, the one trend that no one seemed to predict, but nonetheless was everywhere, was the overabundance of true wireless earbuds. It seemed like every booth we visited had a new pair to show us. Here are some of our favorites.
Technics EAH-AZ70W
At the Panasonic showcase, we got to see two pairs of true wireless earbuds. The first was from Panasonic's Technics brand. The EAH-AZ70W earbuds are the audio company's first foray into the true wireless field, and, at first glance, they appear to be a winner. In addition to notable features like their "newly developed" 10mm drivers and acoustic design, the EAH-AZ70W earbuds boast active noise cancellation, a sophisticated feature typically reserved for more premium earbuds. They also offer 6 hours of continuous playback, with an added 18 hours of life in the charge case, for a total of 24. On top of that, they're rated IPX4 water resistant, so they should be good in the gym or light rain. Look for them to be released sometime this summer.
