Portable, Powerful, and Professional: New Roland V-8HD Video Switcher

We are happy to announce the new Roland V-8HD, an 8-channel HD video switcher. This compact, portable, all-in-one switcher is well suited for live event switching, providing you with creative opportunities without the need for a separate computer for control. Featuring a built-in 4.3" multi-view LCD screen, backlit take buttons, effect controls, and a T-bar, the V-8HD has an easy-to-grasp layout, as well as eight HDMI inputs, three HDMI outputs, and discrete RCA audio inputs and outputs. The switcher features an all-HDMI workflow with support for 1080i/p, 720p, at 60/50 hertz, and even supporting 24p. It also supports legacy formats such as 480/576i/p and computer resolutions from VGA to WUXGA.

The V-8HD can switch seamlessly between 8-Full HD sources, even with mismatched frame rates and color spaces. Two of the inputs having built-in scalers, allowing the switcher to support signals from various sources, such as computers, tablets, smartphones, gaming consoles, as well as legacy 4:3 devices. As far as audio goes, the switcher has a built-in 18-channel audio mixer.
