The Canon EOS line of cinema cameras provides professional cinema video quality, but still requires portability and accessory options to live up to its truly powerful capabilities. So, SHAPE has created four rig options to handhold or shoulder-mount C500, C300, or C100 EOS cinema cameras, while offering them a variety of accessory mounting options. These rig options include the Paparazzi Handle for a quick handheld option, the Shoulder Mount for basic shoulder support, the Offset Rig for offset shoulder support, and the EVF Shoulder Mount for full shoulder and handheld options.
The Paparazzi Handle is a basic handheld rig for C500, C300, or C100 cameras. It features a camera baseplate with 15mm LWS rods, a handle that bends around your camera to create an extensive top cheese handle, and it also allows you to mount the entire rig on a tripod using the threads on the bottom of the baseplate. Its open design keeps your camera fully accessible but makes it easy to carry on a run-and-gun shoot. There are numerous 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads around the baseplate and handle so you can add plenty of extras like a monitor, light, extension arms, or wireless gear.
