Things We Love: The HP Elite Dragonfly Laptop

From the Envy to the Spectre x360, HP has produced some head-turning 2-in-1 laptops in recent years. Looks aren’t everything, though, so HP packed its premium portable powerhouses with options like latest-gen processors, speedy SSD drives, multi-touch displays, and aluminum construction. This well-balanced combination of specs and aesthetics has kept HP laptops firmly in the hearts and minds of professional reviewers and consumers alike, myself included. When I first saw the new HP Elite Dragonfly 13.3" Laptop, it was hard not to be impressed; but it wasn’t just me—everywhere I went, someone wanted to converse about the laptop by my side, and I was happy to oblige. Its iridescent blue finish is as striking as its slim and lightweight magnesium body. While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if you’ve seen this laptop in person, then you can tell why it’s a conversation starter.

Who Is It For?

Before I dive into the reasons why I think you’ll love the Elite Dragonfly, allow me to first identify who it’s for. While this laptop is certainly a looker, it’s all business. My configuration was equipped with an 8th-Gen Core™ i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage coupled with 32GB of Intel® Optane™ memory, backlit keyboard, and all-day battery life. I could go on like this for a few more lines, but what does this long list of specs mean? Mobile business professionals have all the power and storage they need to power through their work day, and long meetings that could’ve been an email. Add to those specs a bevy of security features and you’ll be well protected from malicious actors along the way.
