Nikon has announced a trio of firmware updates that will add much-anticipated CFexpress Type B memory card compatibility to its D5 (v1.40), D850 (v1.20), and D500 (v1.30) DSLR cameras. In addition to this performance boost, small updates have also been made to each camera, as well.
With the new update installed, D5 owners will be able to select the band (2.4 or 5 GHz) for the host SSID when connecting to wireless networks via a WT-6 or WT-5 wireless transmitter. It also fixes a bug that affected shutter release during certain instances when using photo live view. Download the D5 update here.

D850 owners will also receive fixes for several minor bugs pertaining to presenting aperture values for non-CPU lenses, display issues when working with external recorders, and display issues when shooting in silent live view. Download the D850 update here.
