Short Description:

Product Description

Lectrosonics’s SM Series of miniature wireless transmitters are well known for their transmission range, signal clarity, and dependability in the field—this is what makes them such enticing audio gear for professional film shoots. Now Lectrosonics is upping the ante again with its DBSM transmitters/recorders, giving users a wider frequency range, tighter tuning, incredibly accurate and long-lasting timecode sync, extended battery life, and more.

These new transmitters come in two variants: the DBSM, powered by a single AA battery, and the DBSMD, powered by two AA batteries. They are compatible with many receivers in the Lectrosonics ecosystem, including D Squared, DCR822, DCHR/DCHT, and Duet systems. This new generation of transmitters was built with cross-compatibility in mind. Lectrosonics knows the needs of customers are various and wide—and this cross-compatibility ensures dependable performance, whether you’re using the transmitters for film and television production, or live concert entertainment.

With a tuning range that covers the A1 and B1 bands—or up to 614 MHz for the international E01 variant—these transmitters provide a tight channel spacing of 200 kHz. In laymen’s terms, this means you’ll have double the operating frequencies over the previous generations of transmitters. Battery life has been upgraded, as well. Depending on the model, the battery type, and the selected RF output power, the SM series transmitters will give you up to 18 hours (DBSMD) or nearly 9 hours (DBSM) of continuous use.

Each transmitter can operate at three different RF power ratings in D2 mode: 10, 25, or 50 mW. The higher the rating, the longer your range. The new HDM (High-Density Mode) runs at 2 mW RF power and affords you more than 24 channels in just 6 MHz of bandwidth.
