The new FSB 4, FSB 6 Mark II, and FSB 8 Mark II fluid heads and tripod systems help you create smooth moves using a range of camera rig sizes and weights. The new heads include the FSB 6 Mark II and FSB 8 Mark II fluid heads with 17.6 and 26.5 lb weight capacities, respectively, and the new systems include the FSB 4, FSB 6 Mark II, and FSB 8 Mark II heads matched with either aluminum or carbon fiber tripods and mid-level or ground spreaders.
The new FSB 4 tripod systems both feature lightweight carbon fiber tripod legs and options of a ground or mid-level spreader. They support modest payloads of small camcorders or DSLR camera rigs weighing up to 8.8 lb, and the systems extend to a maximum of 68.1". The FSB 4 fluid head is a sideload head with a 75mm leveling ball with integrated flat base, a pan handle, 5 steps of counterbalance, 3 steps of drag, and a -70 to 90° tilt range.
The FSB 6 Mark II fluid head has been redesigned based on Sachtler’s aktiv series, providing smooth, precise movements along with durable components. It features sideload-style mounting with a 75mm leveling ball with integrated flat base,15-step counterbalance, and 3-step drag, and it supports larger loads up to 17.6 lb to accommodate larger cinema camera rigs. There are also systems available with the FSB 6 Mark II that feature carbon fiber or aluminum tripods with ground or mid-level spreaders.
