Designed to usher in a new age of computing, these are the first Intel® processors that make use of Alder Lake hybrid architecture, which combines the power of Efficient-cores and Performance-cores to handle virtually any computing task. Low-voltage Efficient-cores efficiently multitask background tasks while the Performance-cores are designed to push the limits of computing with reduced latency and significantly improved general purpose performance. According to Intel’s testing, the Performance-Core™ architecture improves performance by up to 19% compared to the 11th Gen processors at the same frequency. The two Core™ types are brought together by the integrated Intel® Thread Director™, which ensures that Efficient- and Performance-cores work seamlessly together by dynamically and intelligently assigning workloads to the right core.
