Rycote Introduces the HC-15 and HC-22 Shotgun Microphones

For more than 50 years, Rycote has leveraged its audio expertise to design and manufacture industry-leading windshield kits, shockmounts, and other accessories. The one thing the company hasn’t done was design and create its very own high-quality professional broadcast microphones—until now.

The Rycote HC-15 and HC-22 Shotgun Microphones have an interference tube that provides a high-performing, all-purpose solution for location recording, TV/film production, and broadcast work.

The company has released the HC-22 and the shorter HC-15 high-quality shotgun microphones. Combining a highly directional hypercardioid polar pattern that provides solid off-axis rejection with sophisticated RF shielding and accurate sound quality to match, the HC shotguns are great all-around mics for recording environments that may require a more focused approach to sound capture, including live broadcast, sound design, ENG, TV, cinema, and field recording.
