As usual, Samsung took center stage at CES 2022 to show off some of its new upcoming consumer products, including a unique projector and new TV technology.
The Freestyle Projector
The Freestyle certainly looks more like a lighting fixture than a projector. With its yoke stand, you can point it in nearly any direction, including downward, to project onto ceilings, walls, the floor, or a tabletop, providing a versatile projection experience. In addition to its already versatile design, you can power The Freestyle with your portable USB battery pack that supports a 50W / 20V output and USB-PD technology. Going a step further―and definitely outside the box―Samsung says an optional Socket Adapter will eventually be made available, allowing The Freestyle to be screwed into a standard E26 light socket for power. This feature could easily go hand-in-hand with the projector’s ability to create ambient lighting when used in ambient mode with its translucent lens cap. With its smart speaker functionality, The Freestyle can sync this lighting to your music.
The projector can create images from 30 to 100" and features a 5W woofer and two passive radiators to create 360-degree sound, so you can hear the projector no matter on which side of it you sit.
