Shure broadens its bandwidth with the GLX-D+ Dual-Band Wireless System
Expanding into the 5.8 GHz range, Shure has made it easier to find a reliable wireless band with the new GLX-D+ Dual-Band Wireless System. Improving on the former GLX-D, this new system scans the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands for transmitting a clear digital audio signal, free of interference.
The system automatically scans both bands to find the one with the greatest number of clean channels and uses two antennas and two independent receiver modules to reduce any signal dropouts. By expanding into the 5.8 GHz band, the additional 125 MHz of bandwidth greatly increases the number of potentially open channels than the more crowded 2.4 GHz band.
