It has been a light week in terms of announcements, with a few new releases from Sennheiser, DJI, and Sony. To make up for it, we’re going to take a look at some of our latest videos, with a focus on portraiture and one on upgrading your computer’s GPU.
Sennheiser’s New Mic for Streaming and Podcasting
There’s no denying the popularity of livestreaming and podcasting, and Sennheiser is addressing this burgeoning genre with a versatile, easy-to-use USB-C mic: the Profile USB Microphone. This condenser mic is tailormade for content creators, gamers, educational streamers, podcasters, and other single-person productions with its unique onboard controls and a specialized cardioid pickup pattern that helps isolate your voice from other ambient sounds.
The hands-on controls include a mute button, along with gain control and mix control dials for balancing mic and device levels, and there’s a 3.5mm headphone output with its own level control. The Profile comes with its own dedicated Table Stand and includes a 9.8'-long USB cable.
